Ingredients
Method
Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or heavy-duty aluminum foil.
Arrange bacon slices in a single layer without overlapping. Use two pans if needed to avoid crowding.
Optional: For extra-crispy bacon, place a wire rack over the lined baking sheet and lay bacon on top.
Place pan on the center oven rack and bake until desired crispiness:
- - Thin-cut bacon: 12–16 minutes
- - Regular-cut bacon: 15–20 minutes
- - Thick-cut bacon: 18–24 minutes
Remove from oven and use tongs to transfer bacon to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess grease.
Serve immediately, or cool completely before refrigerating or freezing for later use.
Notes
- Crowd favorite tip: Brush bacon with maple syrup or sprinkle brown sugar during the last 5 minutes for a sweet, caramelized crust.
- Meal prep tip: Store cooked bacon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Reheat tip: 2–3 minutes in a 350°F oven restores crispiness.
